Weekend Activity Guide 12/23/2010

Merry Christmas!

The retail stores that normally make up most of these posts will all be closed of course, but I was surprised to find lots of good recommendations for things to do in the afternoon and evening with your family.  Probably  my best advice to you is to just google “What’s open on Christmas Day in (your area)?”

- I came across this site that has a lot of good recommendations for fun family things to do later in the day on Christmas Day in the San Francisco Area.  Click here to check out Christmas Day 2010 options for San Francisco.

- Similarly, NewYorkology has a list of things that are open and available in New York City on Christmas Day.  And ChicagoFreeInfo has a good list of restaurants, museums, and other places open on Christmas Day in that city.

- And I know that in our fair city, the Fleet Science Center in Balboa park is open from 12:00 to 5:00 for fun science exploration.

Whether you stay at home bundled up with your family or head out to experience something fun and new together, I wish all of our readers a very happy Christmas!
