Here are some good reviews:
by Billy D. – Don’t expect Disney quality but they are all 70’s type PBS quality at least. Loads of fun for a 4 year old. Just sorting and choosing from the many disks is fun enough.
by Amanda L. Davis – This review is from: Treasury of 100 Storybook Classics (Scholastic Storybook Treasures) (Thinpak) (DVD). There are so many great storied on this collection. I remember many of them from when I was little. I really like that the narration follows the books exactly so that children can follow along or resite along with it if they are familiar with a particular story. I recommend this to anyone.

I’ve always used sites like MetaCritic to help me decide if it is worth the time, effort (and considerable expense) to see a movie, or to just wait for a Redbox code in a few months and watch it at home for free. But with kids, it is more challenging to know what is appropriate for them to watch (or avoid).
If you are not familiar with CommonSenseMedia.org, you should really check it out. I like the way they review movies and have lots of detail about the appropriateness and content of the movies. It is so helpful when planning what to see with our girls.
