I’ve always used sites like MetaCritic to help me decide if it is worth the time, effort (and considerable expense) to see a movie, or to just wait for a Redbox code in a few months and watch it at home for free. But with kids, it is more challenging to know what is appropriate for them to watch (or avoid).
If you are not familiar with CommonSenseMedia.org, you should really check it out. I like the way they review movies and have lots of detail about the appropriateness and content of the movies. It is so helpful when planning what to see with our girls.

I couldn’t find confirmation on this on the DisneyStore.com website, but many of the sites for the individual Disney Store Locations are promoting fun free activities at the Disney Stores this month to promote the release of Toy Story 3.
For Saturday 6/5, Toy Story 3 Craft Activity: Now kids can create their very own adventure for Buzz, Woody, Jessie and the whole Toy Story 3 gang with a 2-D playset they will put together in the store (while supplies last). Don’t forget to bring your camera because there will be plenty of great photo opportunities you won’t want to miss. This event will be from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
